Thomas J. Garnier – Thomas J. Garnier is President and Founder of SSI Shredding Systems, Inc., a twenty-seven year old designer and manufacturer of industrial shredding machines. Mr. Garnier currently serves as a member of the audit committee of the Abacast Board and has served as a director since 2000.
Rob Green – Rob Green currently serves in advisory and consultative roles with several technology companies. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Nine Systems, a CDN that was acquired by Akamai Technologies NASDAQ:AKAM in late 2006. In addition to his business development and strategy role, Mr. Green was also responsible for all of Nine Systems’ corporate marketing and product management activities. Prior to Nine Systems, Mr. Green was the Group Manager of Business Development for Microsoft where he was responsible for the global advancement of Windows Media technologies in the Broadcast TV and CDN markets. In this role he was responsible for establishing contractual relationships with over 150 companies including Yahoo, Motorola, DIRECTV, CBS and NBC. Before joining Microsoft, Mr. Green held the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing for Cortex Medical Management Systems, a manufacturer of software systems for anatomic pathology laboratories and previous to that he held various roles within the telecommunications industry. Mr. Green serves as an industry expert to the Abacast Board and has been a director since 2007.
Dan Huntington, Chairman – Dan Huntington is an independent real estate developer, From 1986-1991, Mr. Huntington was a stockbroker for what is now Smith Barney Shearson followed by seven years developing real estate in rural Washougal and the Columbia River Gorge, and arranging land acquisitions in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Mr. Huntington is the founder of Abacast, Inc. and has been a director since 2000.
John Kesler – John Kesler was previously head of business development for the Indy 500 and , among other duties, managed streaming events. John has had several decades of extensive terrestrial radio experience and is now of VP of business development at Emmis. He has a deep understanding of the radio business and how webcasting impacts the terrestrial radio advertising driven business model.
Jim Kott – Jim Kott has been a director of Abacast since April of 2008 and currently serves as VP of Sales and Marketing. Jim comes to Abacast from the acquisition of Tukati, Inc. where he was President and a co-founder. Jim has previously worked as Director of Product Management at MessageGate, a maker of enterprise email server software; as VP of Engineering at Viathan Corp, a maker of storage infrastructure software; and as a Systems Engineer, Program Manager and then Group Program Manager at Microsoft where his team built and released the Groups.MSN.com communication and collaboration site. Jim received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
Tim Napoleon – Tim Napoleon is currently Co-Founder and President of Media Services at AllDigital. Most recently, Mr. Napoleon was the Chief Strategist, Media and Entertainment, for Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), working directly with enterprise and media companies such as Apple, MLB, XM Satellite, MTV, NBC, and News Corp. Prior to Akamai, Mr. Napoleon worked at VitalStream as VP of Business Development, and Mr. Napoleon was the director of online marketing at Pacific Life. He received his MBA degree from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business after earning his undergraduate degree in Communications from the California State University at Fullerton.
Nils Lahr, Advisor – Nils is a recognized technology leader with more than 10 years of experience co-founding 8 technology-related broadcasting & communication startup companies as an executive level technology officer (CTO). He has consulted many Fortune 50 companies and served as lead architect for some of the most advanced internet and communication projects in the world. Nils co-founded and helped fund three separate and successful high-tech ventures and worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence in 2003-4 at Matrix Partners, one of the top Venture Capital firms in Silicon Valley.
