On-Demand HTTP Option
On-Demand HTTP (or Unicast) Delivery uses Abacast’s global, high capacity Content Delivery Network to deliver on demand content including video on demand (progressive download), video and music downloads, and games and software downloads.  All file sizes are supported, from very small software patches to multi-gigabyte HD video files.

With multiple locations across the globe and built-in redundancy, your files will be delivered quickly and reliably to your customers.  Our high-capacity servers and geographical distribution enables us to handle large traffic spikes.  All Abacast services can be used seamlessly with On-Demand HTTP Delivery including DRM, Subscription Management and our Analytics.  On-Demand HTTP Delivery can be used seamlessly with our On-Demand Peer-Assisted distribution, giving publishers true hybrid capabilities and the ultimate in flexibility and control of delivery options and costs.

On-Demand Peer-Assisted Delivery Option
Abacast Peer-Assisted Delivery is a highly efficient option when using Abacast’s On Demand service for distributing on-demand video or other on-demand content. Abacast has taken the security, high quality, and control of unicast technology and combined it with the extreme efficiency of peer-to-peer delivery. The result is a very secure, high quality, stable, resilient network that uses up to 80% less bandwidth, provides higher quality connections, and enables publishers to serve their customers the highest quality content.

To utilize Peer-Assisted Delivery, publishers or broadcasters simply insert a few lines of Javascript to a web page, enabling a one-time install of the transparent, Peer-Assisted Delivery client. Streaming video is automatically served to the end-user via the secure Abacast Peer network. The end result is the ability to serve the highest quality content on the web today, even High Definition video, and to realize significant cost savings. With the Peer-Assisted Delivery option, all of the features of the Abacast On-Demand are provided including smart analytics, a web-based console for content management, and support for standard video formats including Windows, Flash, and QuickTime.
